Celebrating Africa & Happy New Year
Over the years, the image of Africa has been akin to war, diseases,
famine or flood, corruption, social and political disturbances. In
a nut shell, Africa becomes news ONLY when
Unfortunately, the Africans in diaspora have not paid adequate
attention to the "damage" this has caused for a while not
only to the image of continent but to the way Africans are being
treated abroad. Ebo Magazine is born to fill the gap, " a solution" so
to speak and tell the world the positive contributions of the millions
of Africans globally in all spheres of life.
Why Ebo? In the inceptive stage a lot of individuals will ask, what
does Ebo means? As it were it, Ebo connotes different meaning to
different people. For the record, "Ebo" as adopted by Roy
Synergy Promotions, the publishing company is based on the meaning
in the 1970's when it meant to " party or celebrate" hence
we are determined to "Celebrate Africa".
Just like any other business venture, a lot of efforts and resources
have been involved to make this maiden edition possible, we therefore
thank our contributors and The Ebo Crew for the support and being
part of the vision for 21st century Africa. Importantly, we thank
out advertisers for believing in this project.
As you will see in this edition, we are focused to celebrate and
tell the "good" story about Africa that is our agenda.
We covered the Clinton Global Initiatives Annual Meeting, Nigeria:
The Heart of the Africa Project, Western Union & African Community,
Diaspora Day and Wharton African Conference. From awards to inventions,
cultural beauty to " successful" economic stories and so
on.
Also, this medium will be used to reach the African- Americans and
the friends of the continent.
As we look into the future some of the recognition projects down
the road will include "50 Africans to Watch" "20 Top Socialites" and "The
21st Century Global African Ambassadors"
Thank you and we promise to deliver the good tidings to you every
quarter.
Happy New Year
