Executive Summary
The idea of a magazine to promote the positive contributions of Africans
in diaspora was born in Fall of 2005 when a group of Africans were
attending a conference and after looking at the caliber of the participants
in terms of their professional backgrounds, it was clear that a medium
to show case their contributions in disapora is urgently needed.
Furthermore, it is also out of the midst of negative information
about the African continent that we intend to create and provide
a positive balance.
About the Magazine
The name of the magazine is “Ebo Magazine” which is African
slang used mainly in some part of Nigeria to denote “celebration”,
it is time to celebrate the contributions of the Africans in diaspora.

and tell the world about their successful stories and progress made
so far.
With the growing population of the Africans in Diaspora, this is
a unique medium to target this group who are not only educated but
have
increasing economic powers. Also, promote opportunities in the African
continent in terms of the capital market, oil and gas, commodities,
tourism and so on.
Demographics/ Statistics
In the USA, the populations of Africans are growing from the East
to the West coast.
There are over 3 million people of African origin in the United States
and 6,000 Africans in the Delaware area. We have established contacts
and have subscribers in major cities such as Delaware, Pennsylvania,
Maryland, and New York, New Jersey and will continue to expand to
other states.
Distribution/Circulation
Ebo Magazine is distributed 4 times a year via subscription, at numerous
Africans retail stores, groceries stores, Ebo agents and other leading
stores.
Also, we mailed directly to subscribers at homes who are Africans
and friends of the continent around the United States, Europe and
Africa.
The magazine will be at African Consulate, Embassies, Universities,
and Libraries etc. Aside, it will be available at African professional
events, friends to the continent events, business networking, conferences
and social events throughout the African professional community.
Ebo Magazine website will be additional tools for advertising as
updates are made for different editions.
